Species drama script

Pick a species to get a short classroom drama script. Every line that states a fact is fixed to a sourced sentence; students write only the lines in between, then check which facts survived with a checklist.

Why are the fact lines fixed?

Paper 05 studied drama, stories and songs adapted from records of endangered species. 5 wrong claims in the material given to the generators appeared 15 times in 12 of 30 adaptations, and the automatic measures disagreed about the same texts. So this tool generates nothing with AI when it runs. Fact lines come only from data the site already holds (the legal list, NIBR records, world danger rating (IUCN), sentences from fixed Wikipedia revisions), and the teacher copy gives the source of each. The closing checklist is paper 05's advice: a person checks the finished script against the fact list, sentence by sentence.

1. Choose a species

Species with more facts get more scenes; a scene with no fact is left out.

2. Write the connecting lines

You can type the students' lines into the grey boxes now, or leave them empty to print blank lines. Connecting lines should not add new facts; if one does, find a source for it.

3. Check what survived

Paste the final script the students performed or rewrote, and the tool looks for each fact's words in it. This is only a hint: a person reads the script and fills in the checklist (paper 05: do not rely on one automatic score).

4. Print

Typed lines and pasted scripts stay in this browser; nothing is stored or sent.

Print at actual size (100 %). The student and teacher copies each start on a new page.

How to run it

  1. Choose a species and print a student copy for each group.
  2. Groups keep the bold fact lines and write the connecting lines.
  3. After the performance, use the checklist to mark which facts were preserved, simplified, omitted or distorted.
  4. For a distorted fact, look up the original through the source number in the teacher copy.
